I had that idea last year and brought it up at the PTA (for all the teachers to fill out) meeting but nothing ever came of it. I never thought of just giving them to my kids teachers myself! And I also never thought about the fast food breakfast or lunch...loving that idea! Thanks!mommagurl32https://www.blogger.com/profile/00646927822340488999noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4570179959237669778.post-86664763065901594802009-08-07T17:12:16.567-05:002009-08-07T17:12:16.567-05:00These are nice ideas! We always take an apple for the teacher either on meet the teacher/open house night before school starts or on the first day and get a picture of our children handing it to their teachers. We also get a first day picture with the teacher. Then at the end of the first week, we send a "thanks for a great first week" note with a copy of the pictures. Another thing we do is have the teacher fill out a "getting to know you sheet" that we use to surprise the teacher throughout the year with little inexpensive goodies. Usually one per month. This sheet helps with ideas for Christmas and other special occassions such as teacher appreciation week when you want to get something a little pricier. (plus, you get something you know they will like to have because believe me, as a former teacher myself, there are only so many apple related things a person can have!) Things we want to know on the sheet are: birthday, hobbies and collectables, favorite fast food breakfast and lunch, favorite restaurant, favorite dessert, favorite scent, favorite color, favorite candy bar or candy, favorite drink, and favorite snack food. So if a teacher put Twix down as her candy bar, then one day in one month we might send a twix in as a special treat. Or if she really likes a bacon biscuit from McDonald's then we may carry one in one morning. Everyone have a great school year!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4570179959237669778.post-34110338801705701992009-08-05T17:55:56.207-05:002009-08-05T17:55:56.207-05:00Hi! Mine would probably never come out that cute.

Last year my son went to preschool three days a week, the last being Thursday, so on Thursdays we would go by Sonic for "Happy Hour" to get 1/2 price drinks. It was kind of a treat on the last school day of the week.

BTW, thanks for stopping by my blog.Amanda @ Mommy's Idea Bookhttp://www.mommysideabook.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4570179959237669778.post-70176183455792412542009-08-05T15:31:36.718-05:002009-08-05T15:31:36.718-05:00Read your sock comment about 2 laundry baskets on ...Read your sock comment about 2 laundry baskets on another site and HAD to comment. My mom helped with laundry after I had my third, and counted 32 lone socks in the basket. I then decided to throw them ALL out, yes ALL of them for five people (I'm married) and now each member of the family has 2 packages (or so) of socks, different styles, that are ALL the same. I don't fold them any more, just sort by style (the 4 year old can do it) and then each member grabs theirs!! Lose one, or get a hole, they still match all the others! Expecting our 5th child, will NEVER go back!Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13920306748028031924noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4570179959237669778.post-76701713014331042052009-08-05T15:27:13.291-05:002009-08-05T15:27:13.291-05:00that is such a cool pancake - how did oyu do that?...that is such a cool pancake - how did oyu do that??3XMomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08714963008876367395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4570179959237669778.post-62078208636969999272009-08-05T12:27:20.997-05:002009-08-05T12:27:20.997-05:00Great ideas!
